Meet Your Parenting Expert
Hey, I'm Sue Atkins.
Raising children is a challenging business – a bit like trying to tame jelly. All wobbles and no rules!
When I speak with parents I find they started their parenting journey with an idea of how they would raise their children, and an idea of how they would behave. But usually children have very different ideas!
I have over 40 years experience as a parenting coach and teacher, and I have raised two children of my own, so I truly understand the challenges parents are facing as the Parenting Expert for ITV’s ‘This Morning’, BBC Radio, Disney, Good Morning Britain and The Jeremy Vine Show on Channel 5.
I’ve helped thousands of parents overcome challenges and develop their own balanced, down to earth parenting approach that creates happy, positive children, and relaxed confident parents.

Sue has a wonderful warmth that allows people to open up and share their own personal experiences and show vulnerabilities. It was a great session and exactly what we imagined when we decided we wanted to face into this topic with the John Lewis Partnership Working Parents Network. We loved working with you.

As a former teacher and nursery owner myself, I am often found giving advice to parents. However, sometimes you get lost in your own parenting journey and Sue was very effective in providing tips to keep us busy working Mums on track. My main lesson from Sue is that as parents, we also have to be good to ourselves. If we are looking after our own well-being, this positively benefits all aspects of family life.
